About Split Escape

Split Escape is an independent travel guide dedicated to Split, Croatia and the Dalmatian coast. Our mission is to help travellers escape the summer crowds and discover the Adriatic at its best — from Diocletian's Palace at sunrise in May to the quieter coves of Vis and Korčula in September, and the waterfalls of Krka and Plitvice without the July scrum.

Our approach

Every guide, itinerary and recommendation on this site is based on thorough research and real travel experience. We cover destinations honestly — including which tourist traps to skip, why shoulder season beats peak summer, and what the real ferry logistics look like from a Split base. Prices are always in EUR.

Our positioning

We believe May and September are the sweet spot for Dalmatia: warm seas, empty beaches, lower prices and no shoulder-to-shoulder queues inside the Palace. We help you pick the right island for your style, plan a realistic day trip to Krka or Plitvice, and avoid the overpriced tourist-menu restaurants on the Riva. No fluff, no sponsored reviews.
